ベルギー／ブリュッセルのバンド。このFactoryからのシングルは一切クレジットが無いが、プロデュースはMartin Hannett。彼は録音を済ませるとそれっきりで、ミックスが仕上がってもバンドに最終的な音を聴かせなかったらしい。それで彼らはMartinを良く思ってなかったようだが、ブレない音作りはやはり素晴らしい。

彼らのセカンドシングル（EP）はプロデューサーと相性が良かったのかなという印象で、早くも素晴らしい出来。作曲とジャケットデザイン＆写真も手がける、才能溢れるGary Newbyは、最近初期の曲を新録したアルバムをバンド名義のソロでリリースしたが、（当たり前だが）やはりバンドで、さらにこの当時の若さや試行錯誤がパッケージされているFactory盤と比べると格段の差が有る。「レコード（記録）する」という行為が容易になった今、其の意味を改めて考える今日この頃。とか。

彼らのデビューシングル。彼らのFactory時代の音源は2枚のEPと1枚のLPが有り、LPのみ過去何度かCDにてリリースされている。Factory後はVirginに移籍し数枚リリースしているが、Factory時代の初々しい音作りは間違いなく彼らの魅力で、メジャー作では聴く事は出来ない。この盤はカビで盤が酷い状態なので、LTM辺りでのリマスターCD化を切望する。

ジャケットには何処にも”The Slits”と表記は無いが、直ぐ其れと判るタイトルとイラスト。初期の彼女等はPunk Bandだったが、此の盤は中期〜後期のDub Style。正確な録音の年度は不明だが、彼女等のLive Recordingモノとしては音は良く（ただしA2に針飛び有り）、さらに演奏も安定しているという珍しい内容。おなじみの名曲B1も良い。
