森脇美貴夫（懐い…。）のライナーによると、英国のマイナー雑誌「ZIGZAG」が当時（1978年）のインディーレーベルを特集したのを発端に、Cherry Red からリリースされたコンピレーションらしい。オリジナルは此れで、本盤とジャケットのみが異なる。Punk はシングル中心だったので非常に重宝した。しかし2年遅れての発売だったとは、世界はかなり遠かったのだ。
